Armed Police raid house in Glenfield tonight in connection with two recent firearm discharges investigation

Armed police rushed to a Glenfield house this evening around 5pm. A police cordon was established and part of Sandown Road was closed. Local residents reported hearing bangs followed by smoke.
BREAKING NEWS
Leicestershire Police have just released the following statement.
“The activity this evening (Thursday 11 June) in Sandown Road near Station Road relates to the ongoing investigation into the firearms discharges in Braunstone and Newbold Verdon.
We are currently unable to confirm anything further surrounding this activity for operational reasons.
No new arrests have been made.”
