Leicestershire Police have just released the following statement.

“The activity this evening (Thursday 11 June) in Sandown Road near Station Road relates to the ongoing investigation into the firearms discharges in Braunstone and Newbold Verdon.

We are currently unable to confirm anything further surrounding this activity for operational reasons.

No new arrests have been made.”
