Reports of a shooting last night in Newbold Verdon

A Police cordon is in place in a Leicestershire village following a reported shooting last night.

Residents in the area reportedly heard three gunshots at 10.29pm yesterday evening.

We have contacted Leicestershire Police for more information on this incident.

Brascote Lane is currently closed for investigation work.
