Police investigation following ram raid at Saffron Lane store
Police are investigating a burglary after a car was reversed into the shutters of a store in Saffron Lane, Leicester.
As part of enquiries, police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the incident.
Police were called to the scene shortly before 3.15am yesterday (Sunday 20 September).
A red Ford Fiesta had been used to gain entry to the shop and had been left at the scene.
From enquires carried out, it is believed three men entered the store – stealing a number of mobile phones and computer games consoles.
All three men left the scene on a motorbike and headed in the direction of the Pork Pie roundabout.
Officers are working to identify the people involved in the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
Detective Sergeant Sally Noonan said: “Our investigation into this incident is ongoing and we are currently reviewing all CCTV in the area and speaking to a number of witnesses.
“We are aware there were people in the area who saw what happened and may have filmed the incident on their mobile phone. If you have footage or any information, please come forward.
“Details and video evidence you have could help us catch the people responsible.”
