Fire services are fighting a scrubland fire south of Shepshed

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is currently attending a large scrubland fire at Ives Head Trig Point, south of Shepshed, approximately 100 by 200 metres in size.

They have seven fire engines at the scene, plus a water carrier.

Please could local residents close doors and windows to avoid smoke inhalation.
