Appeal for information following fatal collision in Leicester
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with footage to come forward following a fatal collision in Narborough Road South this afternoon (Wednesday 30 September).
Police were called at 2.40pm following a report of a collision involving a red Tesla Model 3 and grey Kawasaki ZX10 motorcycle, just before the junction with Fosse Park Avenue.
The motorcyclist – a man in his 50s – was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported and no-one was arrested.
A road closure remains in place at this time.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Mee, from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said:
“Our investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident is in its early stages and I’d like to speak to anyone who can help.
“Given the location of the incident, I’m sure there will have been many people who witnessed it and I’d also urge any motorists with a dashcam to get in touch as well.
“Anything you can provide could be important.”
