Police are appealing for information following a serious collision involving a male pedestrian and a bus which happened in the area of Melton Road, Queniborough, this afternoon (Monday 24 August). Officers were called at 3.37pm to the area, near the junction with Marsden Avenue. East Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance. A driver has been arrested after a serious collision in Quorn has left two pedestrians injured. Police received a call at 3.33pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 August) following a report of a road traffic collision in Loughborough Road near to the junction with Granite Way. The collision involved a red Peugeot 3008 and two pedestrians – a man and a woman. The driver of the Peugeot was not injured. Winchester Avenue in Blaby is currently closed both ways this morning due to a road traffic collision involving 2 cars. A car has overturned after a collision and ended up in the central reservation on a busy road. Eyewitnesses say that local workers from the nearby industrial estate helped out the driver of the overturned car, and state that he has been taken to hospital. A road closure is in place this evening on Loughborough Road between Mountsorrel and Quorn due to a serious Road Traffic collision.
