Appeal for information following fatal collision in Braunstone Town

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward following a fatal collision in Braunstone Town yesterday evening (Monday 25 May).

Police and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Radford Drive shortly after 6pm following a collision involving a Yamaha R6 motorcycle. It was reported a fire had then started which set the motorcycle and a nearby parked car alight.
The East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene but the rider of the motorbike – a man in his 20s – was pronounced dead a short time later.
A scene preservation was put in place and officers have been working alongside colleagues from the fire service today (Tuesday) to establish the circumstances of the incident.
Anyone who saw the collision, or the vehicle travelling beforehand, or has CCTV or dashcam footage which may be relevant is asked to contact Leicestershire Police.
