Major road has been closed by police
Chesterfield Road is currently closed between Staveley Road and East Park Road including all the side streets due to an serious road traffic collision this morning.
The road is expected to be closed for some time, please avoid the area.
We have contacted Leicestershire Police for more information on this incident.

Traffic management is now on the scene and is erecting diversion and closure signs in the surrounding streets.

Collision investigation officers are now in attendance. Police cordons and road closures remain in place.
