Appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Leicester

Officers are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted in a Leicester street.



Sometime between 8.40pm and 9pm on Monday 14 March, the victim, a woman in her thirties was walking with a friend along Evington Road near to the junction with Kedleston Road.


They were approached by a group of three youths who made some comments to the two women before one of them slapped the victim on her bottom.


The victim challenged the group before they ran off.


He is described as being as round 13 to 14-years-old and around 5ft 5ins tall. He was wearing a black balaclava, black coat and cream joggers.


The group were described as possibly speaking with an Eastern European accent.


PC Jamie Anderson, the investigating officer, said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed what happened or has information that may help my investigation”.
