Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a serious collision in Scraptoft Lane last night (Monday 12 October).

Police were called to the scene, close to the junction with Barbara Avenue, just after 10pm following a report of a collision involving a blue Toyota Yaris and a pushbike.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is continuing to receive treatment.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Mee, from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “Our enquiries are continuing today and I’m appealing for anyone who can help to come forward.
“I’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area and captured the incident on a dashcam, saw what happened or saw the car or cyclist beforehand.
“My appeal extends to residents living nearby who may have captured anything on CCTV or a doorbell camera. Anything you’re able to provide could help our investigation.”
