A driver has been arrested after a serious collision in Quorn has left two pedestrians injured. Police received a call at 3.33pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 August) following a report of a road traffic collision in Loughborough Road near to the junction with Granite Way. The collision involved a red Peugeot 3008 and two pedestrians – a man and a woman. The driver of the Peugeot was not injured. The pedestrians were both taken to hospital where they remain with serious injuries. A 6

A road closure is in place this evening on Loughborough Road between Mountsorrel and Quorn due to a serious Road Traffic collision. The road is closed from the Granite Way roundabout (near Waitrose) towards Quorn Village. Collision investigation unit has now arrived at the scene, the road is expected to be closed for sometime.
