A bar at Loughborough Town Hall has reopened following refurbishment works, marking the completion of renovations after it was damaged by a fire in the town centre. Located on the top floor of the Grade II listed building, the bar was affected by a major incident in 2023 when a neighbouring building caught fire, resulting in significant smoke and water damage. Detectives investigating an arson at Loughborough Town Hall last month are appealing for information from the audience members who were evacuated. The fire service and police were called to a report a fire around 7.30pm on Wednesday 20 May, moments before the start of a performance of That’ll Be The Day.
