Motorcyclist injured after M1 collision
A motorcyclist has been left seriously injured following a collision on the M1 motorway. Police were called at 4.19pm yesterday (Thursday 30 July) following a report of a collision on the southbound carriageway between junctions 23 and 22. It involved a white Enterprise Ford Transit van and a white BMW F800 motorbike. The rider has been taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Fire services are fighting a scrubland fire south of Shepshed

Fire service respond to reports of a church fire on Jarrom Street
A blaze has taken hold of a church in Leicester city centre. A coffin with a body prepared for a funeral service was saved from a significant fire at a church over 160 years old. Appeal after two children bitten by a dog. Officers in West Leicester are appealing for public help in identifying a woman after two children were injured by a dog.
