He is scheduled to go on trial this summer for the murder of De Montfort University student Khaleed Oladipo

A young man accused of the fatal stabbing of a De Montfort University student appeared in court today (Monday, May 11).
Khaleed Oladipo, 22, passed away after being stabbed on Oxford Street in Leicester city centre on Tuesday, (February 3). Following his death at Leicester Royal Infirmary, 18-year-old Harper Dennis was arrested and charged with his murder.

In Leicester Crown Court today, Dennis, from North Road, West Drayton, London, appeared before Judge Timothy Spencer KC. It was anticipated that he would plead not guilty to the murder charge.
However, his barrister, Paul Prior, mentioned that Dennis had applied to change his solicitor.
The judge stated he would consider allowing the change if it ensured the trial could proceed as planned.
The trial is scheduled for three weeks starting on Monday, August 10. Dennis was remanded in custody.
In addition to murder, Dennis is also facing two charges of possessing illegal weapons.
