Police officer charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving

A Leicestershire police officer has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Police Constable David Manning, 32, of Leicestershire, is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court at 2pm tomorrow (Wednesday 15 July).

The charge is in connection with a collision which happened in Narborough Road, Leicester, on Friday 31 May 2024. The collision involved an unmarked police car and a Fiat 500 car.
A woman, in her 30s, who was driving the Fiat vehicle, suffered serious injuries in the collision.
