Investigation by police ongoing after man falls from fifth-floor balcony

A man fell from a fifth-floor balcony this morning on Bath Lane here in the city.
Emergency services arrived at the apartment block this morning at approximately 9:30 am. The air ambulance was also dispatched to the scene.
A spokesperson from Leicestershire police said:
“The force was called at 9.45am this morning (Sunday) by East Midlands Ambulance Service following their attendance in Bath Lane, Leicester.
It was a report that a man had fallen from a balcony in one of the flats on Bath Lane.
Officers attended and closed the road while an investigation into the circumstances is being carried out.
The man, who is in his 20s, has been taken to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No one has been arrested.
Enquiries are being carried out."
