Police have closed off road in Leicester
Police have closed off Gipsy Lane in Leicester this evening.
Gipsy Lane is closed between Sutton Avenue and Catherine Street due to a Road Traffic Incident.

Update 19:00
The road has now been reopened.
It’s believed that a child was hit by a car. The Air Ambulance service was at the scene, landing in a nearby park. The child has been taken to the hospital by road ambulance.
We have reached out to Leicestershire Police and are waiting for a statement.
