Police called to Lidl after man smashes 9 windows with large hammer

A large Police presence was spotted at the Lidl store on Gipsy Lane earlier this evening (Sunday 26 July)
Eyewitnesses say a man with a large hammer smashed 9 windows along the front of the store.
It’s reported that a man has was arrested by Police.
We have contacted Leicestershire Police for more details on this incident.
There is no reports of any injuries at this time.

Update
Leicestershire Police have confirmed this Morning (27 July) that a man Russell Skinner, 65, of Gipsy Lane has been charged with one count of causing criminal damage to property and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on 10 August.
