Police are currently dealing with a road traffic collision in the City Centre.
Humberstone Gate at its junction of Charles Street is closed.
A police cordon remains in place around a bus. 
Please avoid the area if possible, Disruption to bus services are expected for some time.
We have contacted Leicestershire police for more details.
A police spokesperson said.
“Police were called at 1:30pm to a report of Road Traffic collision on Humberstone Gate involving a bus and a pedestrian.”
“The pedestrian a male has been taken to hospital with possible life changing injuries.“
The road has now been reopened.
