London Road murder: Two more arrests

Two youths have been arrested following the murder of a man off Leicester’s London Road last month.
They are both aged 17 and were each arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder today (Wednesday 12 August). They both remain in custody.
The arrests relate to the death of 24-year-old Arad Niakan in De Montfort Place on 22 July.
An investigation into Mr Niakan’s death is being led by the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU).
Four men were previously charged with murder as part of this investigation, while a fifth was charged with assisting an offender.

A third youth has been arrested as part of an ongoing murder investigation.
The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder in Kent last night (Wednesday 13 August) and remains in custody.
