Have say on plans to improve work & training opportunities for young people
People are invited to help shape plans to improve education, training and employment opportunities for young people in Leicestershire.

Proposals include expanding apprenticeships and work-based learning opportunities, strengthening careers guidance and improving support for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Young people, parents, carers, employers and education providers are all invited to have a say on Leicestershire County Council’s draft strategy for post 16 learners.
Councillor Charles Pugsley, cabinet member for children and families said:
"Every young person deserves the opportunity to develop their talents, build their confidence and fulfil their potential.
For many young people, apprenticeships, work placements and other workplace learning opportunities can provide a valuable route into a rewarding career.
We're keen to hear from young people themselves, as well as families, employers and education providers, so we can better understand what support and opportunities are needed to help set young people up for life."
The proposals are built around helping more young people stay engaged in education and training, improving routes into employment, supporting those with additional needs and strengthening preparation for adulthood.
They also recognise the important role employers can play in providing opportunities for young people to develop practical skills and gain valuable workplace experience.
The consultation is open until Monday, 7 December.
