Fire causes extensive damage to recreation building in Leicester

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a fire caused extensive damage to a pavilion in Leicester yesterday evening (Monday 23 May).

The pavilion at Rushey Fields Bowling Club in Harrison Road was broken into sometime between 6pm and 7pm and bowling equipment was set alight which then caused extensive damage to the building.



The previous evening (Sunday 22 May) the pavilion was broken into and officers are looking into whether both incidents may be linked.


Anyone who witnessed either incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area over the last two evenings is asked to contact PC 865 Gary Roberts on 101 or via www.leics.police.uk, quoting crime number 22*295126.
