Yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 12 January), officers searching for a missing 47-year-old man located the body of a man in Loughborough.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the body is believed to be that of Mark Spencer.
Mr Spencer, from Hathern, was reported missing to police on Sunday (9 January).
The cause of death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
