Fire service respond to reports of a Canadian goose which is currently trapped in Leicester Park.
Two fire crews are currently attending an incident in Abbey Park tonight. The fire appliances are parked along Abbey Park Road. A spokesperson from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that a report of a Canadian goose trapped by its legs on the water has been received. Car crashes into shop wall in Wigston
A car has ran into the wall this afternoon at Sainsbury’s Local on Moat Street in Wigston. The store will remain closed for safety reasons; a building inspection has been requested by the fire service. Saffron Lane is currently closed due to a Road Traffic collision
Emergency services are dealing with a Road Traffic collision on Saffron Lane near the junction of Knighton Lane East. A car has hit several parked vehicles and ended up on its side. Members of the public assisted in righting the vehicle back onto its wheels. There are no reports of any serious injuries. The road is closed in both directions; please avoid the area if possible.
