Car flips and overturns onto central reservation in Blaby.
Winchester Avenue in Blaby is currently closed both ways this morning due to a road traffic collision involving 2 cars. A car has overturned after a collision and ended up in the central reservation on a busy road. Eyewitnesses say that local workers from the nearby industrial estate helped out the driver of the overturned car, and state that he has been taken to hospital. The road remains closed for recovery to take place. Please find alternate routes.

Road closure remains in place near Mountsorrel after a collision early this afternoon
A road closure is in place this evening on Loughborough Road between Mountsorrel and Quorn due to a serious Road Traffic collision. The road is closed from the Granite Way roundabout (near Waitrose) towards Quorn Village. Collision investigation unit has now arrived at the scene, the road is expected to be closed for sometime. Eight arrested as officers appeal for witnesses to affray in Braunstone
Police officers investigating an incident of affray in Braunstone are appealing for anyone with information or footage to come forward after eight people were arrested. Police were called to Winstanley Drive just after 5pm on Thursday (13 August) following a report that a group of men were fighting with weapons. Bravery of young victims in cyber blackmail investigation sees sex offender sentenced
Four girls who came forward after being groomed and blackmailed by a stranger into providing indecent content of themselves have been praised for their bravery and courage. Ben Dodd targeted the girls, aged 14 to 17, through social media and encouraged them to send him images and videos of a sexual nature. Reckless Motorist Banned After Driving at More Than Twice the Speed Limit
A dangerous motorist from North-West Leicestershire has been banned from driving after being caught travelling at more than twice the speed limit on a county road. Elliot Cave, 33, of The Moorlands, Coleorton, was detected driving his Honda Civic at 77mph in a 30mph section of the A511 Bardon Road near Coalville on 28 May this year.
