Motorcyclist dies in Shepshed collision
A motorcyclist has died following a road traffic collision in Shepshed. Police were called at 8.49am this morning (Sunday 5 July) regarding a single vehicle collision on Charley Road. The collision involved a red Yamaha MT07 motorcycle. The rider - a man in his eighties - sustained fatal injuries and was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. A woman sustained serious injuries after falling off a bridge in Loughborough
Multiple emergency services including the air ambulance service attended this incident in Loughborough early this morning on Terry Yardley Way. A spokesperson from Leicestershire said: Police received a call at 7.42am this morning (Sunday 5 July) that a woman was on the wrong side of the railway bridge on Terry Yardley Way, Loughborough. Officers attended the location and a short time later, the woman fell from the bridge. She has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Refurbished bar marks completion of Loughborough Town Hall’s post-fire renovations
A bar at Loughborough Town Hall has reopened following refurbishment works, marking the completion of renovations after it was damaged by a fire in the town centre.
