Missing girl - Amirah Azam

Police are appealing for public help to locate a missing teenage girl.

Amirah Azam, who is 16-years-old, was reported missing on Friday 29 May after last being seen at an address in Northampton.

Enquiries carried out since suggest that Amirah may be in the Neston Road area of Leicester, therefore the investigation has been transferred to Leicestershire Police.

Amirah is described as Asian, 5ft 5ins tall, of a medium build, has long brown hair and sometimes wears glasses. She may also be in company with a 15-year-old boy.

She also has links to Milton Keynes and could well travel to that area.

Active enquiries continue to be progressed to locate Amirah as police and her family are concerned for her welfare.

Anyone who may have seen someone matching her description or knows where she may be is asked to contact police on 101.
