Route affected : East Midlands Railway between Sheffield / Derby / Nottingham / Leicester and London St Pancras International

Thameslink between Bedford and Brighton; between St Albans City and Sutton; and also between Luton and Rainham

All lines have reopened in the Luton area as the fault with the signalling system has been fixed. However, major disruption to trains between Luton and London St Pancras International is expected whilst service recovers.

Trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised until approximately 16:00.

Advice for East Midlands Railway customers:

If you choose not to travel today your ticket (dated 28 December) will be valid for travel tomorrow, Tuesday 29 December.

Trains are now able to run between Luton and London St Pancras International but they will remain delayed and some may still be cancelled as train crew and stock has been displaced.
