Yet another Police Chase on our Roads of Leicester

Police Chase Saturday afteroon around 4pm after a suspect wanted for assault escaped by car, the chase started in Braunston and Fosse Park/ Enderby area ending in Oadby.

5 Police cars was involved and one Police car was Badly damage after hitting a wall.

We Believe No one was injured during this incident, and that the suspect has been arrested.


The First chase was in Oadby around 12.30am where a Student died after being hit by Car.

Stoughton Drive South incident which happen around 12.30am where a student was killed.

Full Police statement for The Stoughton Drive South Incident

“Shortly after 12.30am today (Saturday 19 January) officers became aware of a suspect vehicle in Stoughton Drive South, Oadby.


The vehicle failed to stop for police and in making off from the scene, was in collision with a pedestrian. Officers stopped to attend to the pedestrian and the East Midlands Ambulance Service was also called.


However the pedestrian was pronounced dead a short time later.

Immediate enquiries led police to identify a suspect and a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.


He remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing.


A mandatory referral has been made to the IOPC.


Stoughton Drive South remains closed between Gartree Road and Leicester Road”
