Two new 20mph zones are set to be introduced in residential parts of Leicester. Leicester City Council has approved plans to introduce the reduced speed limit on 60 streets in the Saffron and Thurncourt areas of the city. The proposed schemes are the latest in a rolling programme of citywide 20mph zones. In Saffron, 21 residential streets will be covered by the new 20mph zone, extending restrictions already in place in the area. Most of the streets covered by the new scheme w
