Police officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision involving a van and a motorbike in Newtown Unthank this morning (Friday 6th November). The force was called at 7.08am this morning and officers attended the scene, along with colleagues from the East Midlands Ambulance Service. The collision happened on Desford Road, Newtown Unthank and involved a van – a Silver Mercedes Vito – and a motorbike – a Red Yamaha.
