A man has died following a collision in Aylestone Road this morning (Friday 25 November). Shortly before 4am, an officer from the force’s Roads Policing Unit (RPU) attempted to stop a black BMW, but the driver failed to do so. A pursuit was authorised but a short time later the car – which was travelling county-bound – collided with a tree close to the junction with Richmond Avenue.
