A man has been stabbed tonight in the Highfields area of the city.
A Leicestershire police spokesperson said;
Shortly before 5pm today (Wednesday 23 March) police were called to Abingdon Road in the Highfields area of Leicester by the East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Officers attended and found a man had been stabbed in the leg. He has been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Officers remain in the area carrying out further enquiries at this time. No arrests have been made.
