Armed police descended on a park in Leicestershire following a report of a man suspected of handling a gun.

Leicestershire Police were called to Queen's Park in Frederick Street, Loughborough, at 2.27pm on Thursday, May 28.
Officers located the man in the park but discovered it was in fact a water gun.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “We received a report yesterday (May 28) at 2.27pm regarding a man believed to be in possession of what was described as a gun in Queens Park, Loughborough.
“In the interest of public and officer safety, armed police attended. The man was located in the park and the gun was found to be a water gun.”
